Garden City, N.Y. - Juniors Patrick Figueiredo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Ify Anene (Reynoldsburg, OH) have been named Adelphi Athletes of the Week for the week of November 5, 2007.

Figueiredo sent the Panthers into the post season with a last second goal against NJIT. With the game knotted at one, thanks to a Figueiredo, Patrick netted his second goal of the game as time expired to send Adelphi to the postseason with a 2-1 win. Figueiredo also scored a goal in the Panther's 3-1 win over Columbia.

The Panthers return to action on November 17 when they participate in the Atlantic Soccer Conference tournament.

Anene placed fourth overall in the women's NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Championship race, earning her first ever trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship. Anene covered the 6K course in 23:06, helping the Panthers to a fourth place team finish.

Anene will return to action on Saturday, November 17 when she participates in the NCAA Division II National Championship meet in Joplin, Missouri.
