Garden City, N.Y. - Junior Einar Oddsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) and Shannon McEntee (Valley Stream, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of November 1, 2005.

Oddsson helped the Panthers to a 1-1 record on the week, including a 3-1 win over NJIT. In Adelphi's win over NJIT Oddsson anchored a Panther defense that allowed just five shots and gave up one goal. Despite the loss Adelphi's defense allowed Philadelphia just seven shots in a 3-1 loss.

Adelphi returns to action on Tuesday, November 1 when they play host to Columbia University at 3:00 pm.

McEntee netted the game winner against Queens in the 74th minute to keep Adelphi in the mix for the conference regular season title. She added assists in wins over Mercy and STAC to help keep the Panthers in the NYCAC title hunt. For her efforts McEntee was named NYCAC Player of The Week.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, November 6 when they participate in the semifinals of the NYCAC tournament.
