Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman Ryan Pezzulo (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and junior Ify Anene (Reynoldsburg, OH) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of October 22, 2007.

Pezzulo was the top rookie finisher finishing third overall with a time of 27:23 at the ECC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. His placement automatically earned him ECC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-Conference honors.

Anene captured her first ECC individual championship and automatically earned ECC Runner of the Year and First-Team All-Conference accolades by covering the 5k course at the ECC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in a time of 19:20, winning by 51 seconds.

The cross-country team returns to action on November 3, 2007 when they travel to Van Cortlandt Park, in the Bronx, New York to compete in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional.
