Garden City, NY - Junior Ryan Pezzulo (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and freshman Gina Cristaldi (Broadalbin, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the week for the week of October 26, 2009.

Pezzulo paced the men's team to a fourth place finish at the Northeast-10 Championship. His time of 26:12 over the 8K course earned him 17th overall and third-team all-conference honors, he was also the Panthers first finisher across the line.

Cristaldi was the first Adelphi finisher at the Northeast-10 Championships, covering the 5K course in 19:07. Her time placed her seventh overall, earning her first-team all-conference honors and helping the Panthers to a fourth place team finish out of 16 competing schools.

Cross Country returns to action at the Division II East Regional Meet in Boston, MA on November 8.
