Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University freshman Nicholas Costa (Carle Place, N.Y.) and senior Heather Mau (Honolulu, HI) have been named Adelphi Athletes of The Week for the week of October 18, 2010.

Costa tallied his first career goal in Adelphi's 2-0 victory over Howard on Sunday afternoon. His score came in the 75th minute and gave the Panthers some insurance, pushing the score to 2-0.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, October 20 when they travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to take on Bucknell.

Mau helped the Panthers to a 1-1 week, with a win over Stonehill, and a five set loss to Bentley. She totaled 57 digs, averaging 7.12/set on the week. She was consistent over the two games, with 29 digs against Bentley and 28 in the win over Stonehill.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, October 22 when they travel to Bridgeport, Connecticut to take on the Purple Knights.
