Garden City, N.Y. - Juniors Mike Marzano (Whitestone, N.Y.) and Shannon McEntee (Valley Stream, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of October 19, 2004.

Marzano competed at the Albany Invitational over the weekend in a field of over 300 runners. Marzano clocked in at 28:22 to place 129th overall and set a new personal best for the course. Marzano was also the second NYCAC finisher to cross the line.

Adelphi returns to action Sunday, October 24th when they travel to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the NYCAC XC Championships at 10:00 am.

McEntee helped Adelphi to a 1-1 week with her game winner against visiting Shippensburg. McEntee chipped the ball over Shippensburg's keeper in the 96th minute of play on October 16th to give Adelphi a 1-0 overtime win. McEntee is currently second on the team in scoring with 13 points (4G, 5A).

The Panthers return to action on October 20th when they face visiting NYIT at 3:30 pm on Stiles Field.
