Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University junior Stuart Pulkinen (Toronto, Canada) and senior Kim Volinski (Greenport, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi Athletes of The Week for the week of October 4, 2010.

Pulkinen led the field by two strokes after day one of the Northeast-10 Championship, but fell to fourth overall, shooting a 79 on day two (71-79-150). However, his effort was good enough for a spot on the NE-10 all-conference first-team and to help the Panthers defend their NE-10 Championship.

The Panthers return to the links on Saturday, October 9 when they participate in the Charger Challenge Invitational in Suffern, New York.

Volinski led Adelphi to a 4-0 victory over Bentley University in the Panthers only action of the week. She scored Adelphi's first two goals and assisted on the third to led the Panthers to the win.

Adelphi returns to the pitch on Tuesday, October 5 when they play host to Southern Connecticut State at 6:00 pm.
