Oct. 5, 2004 Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman Andrew Worth (Gray, Maine) and sophomore Tara Grodotzke (Rocky Point, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athlets of the Week for the week of October 5, 2004. Worth made his first career collegiate goal count as he tallied the game-winner in a 3-2 double-overtime victory over Manhattan on October 2nd. Worth found the back of the net just 36 seconds into the second overtime to give Adelphi the win. For his efforts Worth was named ASC Rookie Of The Week. The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, October 6th when they play host to visiting Lehigh University at 4:00 pm on Stiles Field. The 5-8 sophomore from Rocky Point, NY put home the only score in the Panthers' big 1-0 victory over C.W. Post and followed by snapping a 1-1 tie with what would be the game-winner in a convincing 8-1 triumph over St. Thomas Aquinas. For her efforts Grodotzke was named NYCAC Player Of The Week. The Panthers return to action on October 5th when they host the University of Bridgeport at 4:00 pm on Stiles Field |
