Garden City, N.Y. - It's time to clean out the attic and dust off those trophies! Adelphi University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is in search of unique memorabilia to add to the Hall of Fame Atrium in the new Center for Recreation & Sport.

"The goal is to pay tribute to the past and to provide a complete and accurate historical picture of Adelphi Athletics," Director of Athletics Robert Hartwell said. "We have such a rich and storied past and we want to be able to showcase that."

While the university does have an impressive array of archived records and information, there is a need for athletic memorabilia. Items of interest include publications such as game-programs, media guides and schedule cards, as well as letterwinner jackets, uniforms, trophies, photographs and equipment. We are especially seeking items prior to 1990 and items related to women's athletics.

When sending in items, please make sure to include full name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail and year of graduation to allow for correct recognition of the donated item(s).
