Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Vincent Treglia (Brookville, N.Y.) and junior Samantha Johnston (Port Jervis, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi Athletes of the Week for the week of September 24, 2007.

Treglia made his first career start on Saturday, September 22 when Adelphi traveled to Fairfield Connecticut to take on regional #1 Fairfield University. Treglia played all 90 minutes in goal, making four saves and allowing one goal in Adelphi's 1-0 loss.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, September 26 when they play host to Atlantic Soccer Conference opponent Longwood at 7:00 pm.

Johnston posted 28 kills and a team-high 42 digs, helping the Panthers to a 2-1 record on the week. In Adelphi's 3-2 loss to CW Post, Johnston had 14 kills and collected 21 digs. The Panthers swept UMass-Lowell and St. Michael's over the weekend with Johnston posting nine kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 win over UMass-Lowell and five kills and seven digs in a 3-0 win over St. Michael's.

Adelphi returns to action on Tuesday, September 25 when they host Queens College at 7:00 pm in Woodruff Hall.
