Garden City, N.Y. - Sophomores Frank Cascio (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Claudia Nunez (Aventura, FL) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of September 20, 2005.

Cascio tallied an assist in both of Adelphi's games last week to help the Panthers post a record of 0-1-1 for the week. Cascio assisted Adelphi's only game in their 1-1 tie with Sacramento State and then assisted on the Panthers first goal, which put them up 1-0, in a 3-2 loss to Saint Joseph's.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, September 24 when they play host to Princeton University at 1:00 pm on Stiles Field.

Nunez remained undefeated at first flight singles this season, picking up two more wins against Molloy and Philadelphia. Nunez dropped just 10 games combined in her two wins. She also helped the Panthers to a record of 1-1 on the week. For her efforts Nunez was named NYCAC Co-Player of The Week.

The women's tennis team returns to action on Thursday, September 22 when they travel to Sparkill, New York to take on St. Thomas Aquinas.
