Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Jaime Julia-Perez (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and junior Danielle Connor (Lake Grove, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of September 11, 2006.

Perez was the top East Coast Conference finisher at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, September 9, 2006, as he covered the 8K course in a time of 25:56. Julia-Perez placed 22nd out of 388 finishers in the event, as he helped the Panthers take 12th out of 30 teams. For his efforts Perez was named ECC Runner of The Week.

Danielle was the first East Coast Conference finisher on the women's side at the Connecticut College Inviational on Saturday, September 9, 2006. She covered the 5K course in a time of 19:26 to finish 19th out of 325 finishers. As a team, the Panthers 11th of of 27 teams. For her efforts Connor was named ECC Runner of The Week.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, September 16th when they compete in the NYU Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park.
