2007-2008 East Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll Announced

Garden City, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference has announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2007-2008 academic year. A total of 599 student-athletes, with 101 coming from Adelphi University, made this year's squad with representation from all eleven member institutions.

"It is with great pride that I commend our student-athletes on the completion of another successful academic year," said East Coast Conference Commissioner Robert Dranoff. "Illustrating the Division II ideals, our student-athletes continue to raise the bar as they reach for new heights in their academic endeavors while continuing to display leadership and dedication to the athletic forum."

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who received a 3.2 grade point average or better in a given academic year. This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the East Coast Conferenence's mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.

Adelphi University garnered Scholar Athlete Awards in women's soccer, men's cross-country, volleyball and softball.
