Garden City, N.Y. - Junior Mike Thompson (Bethpage, N.Y.) and sophomore Diana Lopez (Farmingville, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the week for the week of April 12, 2005.

Thompson was three-for-three in save opportunities last week, helping the Panthers to a 4-2 record on the week. Thompson pitched a total of 5.1 innings and struck out seven, picking up saves against Caldwell (8-7), Molloy (11-8) and C.W. Post (6-4).

Adelphi returns to action on Thursday, April 14 when they travel to Flushing, New York for a 3:30 pm match-up with Queens College.

Lopez totaled 10 points in two Adelphi's wins last week, helping the fourth ranked Panthers improve to 8-1. In Adelphi's 14-4 win over AIC Lopez scored two goals and added an assist, in the Panthers 15-3 rout of Regis Lopez led all scorer with seven points, on four goals and three assists.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, April 16, when they travel to West Haven, Connecticut for a 1:00 pm meeting with New Haven.
