Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University graduate student Tommy Susko (South Hempstead, N.Y.) and freshman Katie Andrews (Dolan, AL) have been named Adelphi Athletes of the Week for the week of April 11, 2011.

Susko led the way offensively for the Panthers in the 10-8 win over Merrimack. He registered six points on five goals and one assist. Susko currently leads the Panthers with 26 goals on the season.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow, April 12, when they host Assumption College at 4:00 p.m.

Andrews was responsible for three of Adelphi's six wins last week, posting a record of 3-1 with an earned run average of just 0.65. She threw one complete game and one shut out last week, tossing 21.1 innings and striking out 33 batters while giving up just 12 hits. Andrews held opponents to a batting average of .167 on the week.

Softball returns to the field on Tuesday, April 12 when they play host to LeMoyne College at 3:00 pm in Garden City.
