Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Mark Pollard (Deer Park, N.Y.) and freshman Caitlin Fitzpatrick (Port Washington, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of April 2, 2007.

Pollard competed at the Trinity College Bantam Invitational on Saturday, March 31, picking up a first place finish and two second place showings. Pollard placed first in the 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 22.84, he also finished third in the 100-meter dash (11.46). In addition Pollard anchored the 4x400 meter relay team to a second place finish (3:30.42).

Adelphi's returns to action on Friday, April 6 when they travel to Princeton, New Jersey to take part in the Sam Howell Invitational.

Fitzpatrick made her first career collegiate start on Sunday April 1in Adelphi's contest at Mercyhurst. She collected 21 saves, picking up a 14-9 win. For her efforts Fitzpatrick was named ECC Co-Rookie of The Week.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, April 7 when they travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a 12:00 pm match-up with Philadelphia University.
