Garden City, N.Y. - Seniors Kevin Durant and Caitlin Fitzpatrick were selected as this week's Adelphi Athletes of the Week for March 30 for their stellar play.

Durant helped the Adelphi track and field team to an eighth place finish at the University of Maryland Invitational on Saturday, March 27. He took top honors in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.20 and preceded that with a third place finish in the 100 meter dash in a time of 10.86. His time in the 100 is the fastest in the Northeast-10 this season, while his 200 time is ranked second and for his efforts he was named Northeast-10 Athlete of the Week.

Fitzpatrick extended her record to 6-0 this season, making 11 saves and surrendering only six goals in 54:39 minutes of action in a 24-7 win over Franklin Pierce last week. For her play, she was named Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
