Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Ryan Soltan (Sayville, N.Y.) and freshman Samantha Tilton (Islip, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of March 29, 2005.

Soltan traveled to Long Branch, New Jersey on Saturday March 26 to compete in the Monmouth Season Opener. Soltan toed the line in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase and came away with a personal best time of 9:58.86 and a second place overall finish.

Adelphi will return to the track on April 2, when they travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to compete in the Wagner Invitational.

Tilton won both of her contests last week, striking out nine and displaying pinpoint control with no walks. The two earned runs she allowed gave her an ERA of 1.17 for the week. For her efforts Tilton was named NYCAC Pitcher of The Week.

The Panthers return to action on Thursday, March 31, traveling to the University of Bridgeport for a 3:00 pm start.
