Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Brian Volpi (Lawrence, N.Y.) and junior Allyson Murphy (Williston Park, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi Athlete's of The Week for the week of March 21, 2006.

Volpi permitted just nine goals while facing 51 shots in Adelphi's two victories. He made a total of 20 total saves on the week, 12 against St. Andrew's and eight in a win over Limestone. For his efforts Volpi was named NYCAC Athlete of The Week.

Men's lacrosse returns to action on Friday, March 24 when they take on Dominican College at 3:30 pm.

Murphy picked up two wins this week as starting goalkeeper for the Panthers. In victories over Philadelphia and St. Anselm, Murphy collected 15 saves and posted a 2.67 goals against average. For her efforts Murphy was named NYCAC Goalkeeper of The Week.

Women's lacrosse returns to action on Saturday, March 25 when they host Mercyhurst at 11:00 am on Stiles Field.
