Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Mark Pollard (Deer Park, N.Y.) and freshman Elise Maniguet (Pinebush, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of February 5, 2007.

Pollard helped the Panthers to a sixth place finish at the CTC Indoor Championships and third at the ECC Championships. At the CTC meet Pollard placed 7th in the 55 meter dash (6.71), 6th in the long jump (21-0) and helped the men's 4x200 meter relay to a fifth place finish and the 4x400 meter relay to a sixth place finish.

His time in the 55 meter dash won him an individual ECC title, while his leap of 21-0 placed him second in the ECC.

Adelphi's next competition will be the NYU Fast Track Invitational on Friday, February 23 at the New Balance Track and Field Center.

Maniguet helped the Panthers to a fourth place showing at the CTC Indoor Championships and a second place showing at the ECC Championships. Maniguet placed second in the 800 (2:25.66) and the mile (5:20.66) in CTC competition. Those times also won her ECC individual titles in those events as well.

Adelphi returns to action on Friday, February 23 when they travel to the New Balance Track and Field Center to compete in the NYU Fast Track Invitational.
