Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University hosted the 4th Annual New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) Senior Female Athletes Brunch on Sunday, February 13, 2005. This annual event, in honor of Girls and Women In Sport Day, attracts over 200 female student-athletes from 13 NYCAC institutions.

Gail Marquis, a graduate of Queens College, was the keynote speaker. Former Adelphi cross-country athlete Shelly Ann Anderson, also gave a presentation about her military experiences and her tour of duty in Iraq.
