Garden City, N.Y. - Juniors Aaron Cummings (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Carlyshia Hurdle (Brentwood, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of January 24. 2005.

Cummings averaged 1.5 points, five assists and 5.5 rebounds in helping the Panthers extend their win streak to seven games with two wins last week. In Adelphi's win at C.W. Post, Cummings scored 11 points, grabbed six boards and handed out a game-high seven assists. At Bridgeport, Cummings contributed 12 points, five rebounds and three assists...

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, January 29th when they travel to Southampton to take on the Colonials at 3:30 pm.

Hurdle averaged 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games last week. Hurdle registered a double-double, 17 points and 11 boards, while helping the Panthers to end a six-game skid with a win at C.W. Post. Then in a loss at Bridgeport Hurdle scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday January 29th when they take on the Colonials at Southampton at 1:30 pm.
