Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Aaron Cummings (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and sophomore Mary Lepore (Manhasset, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of January 24, 2006.

Cummings sealed Adelphi's 66-64 overtime win by scoring the Panthers last six points in overtime. For the game Cummings scored 11 points, grabbed four rebounds, made three steals and handed out two assists.

The Panthers will return to the court on Tuesday, January 24 when they travel to Sparkill, New York to take on St. Thomas Aquinas.

Lepore scored a team-high 19 points, including hitting on 5 of 8 from beyond the arc, helping the Panthers to an 83-72 conference win. Lepore also chipped in six assists, four rebounds and four steals.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, January 24 when they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas for a 5:30 pm tip-off.
