Garden City, N.Y. - Seniors Aaron Cummings (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Carlyshia Hurdle (Brentwood, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of January 3, 2006.

Cummings scored 13 points, handed out four assists, picked up four steals and added two rebounds in a 59-49 win over Nova Southeastern. Cummings was also 5-6 from the free throw line in the last 1:14 to seal the win.

The Panthers will return to the court on Saturday, January 7 when they travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a 3:00 pm meeting with Philadelphia University.

Hurdle posted 16 points, pulled down eight rebounds and picked up two assists and two steals in a 66-51 loss to St. Rose. For the season Hurdle is averaging 16.6 points and 8.9 rebounds.

The Panthers return to action on Thursday, January 5 when they travel to North Andover, Massachusetts to take on Merrimack at 5:30 pm.
