Athletic Department Compliance Coordinator
(specific contact information below)
The task of the Adelphi University (AU) compliance office is to ensure that coaches, staff, and student-athletes remain in compliance with NCAA Division II and Division I (Men's Soccer) rules on a day-to-day basis. The coaches, staff, and student-athletes at AU have a fundamental respect for doing what is right and taking pride in their adherence with NCAA rules. It's a mindset at AU that following the rules is important, which means asking questions frequently. The compliance staff strives to provide answers to questions within 24-48 hours, depending upon the complexity of the question and whether consultation with the conference office or the NCAA is necessary.
The mission of Adelphi University's (AU) Compliance Office shall be to efficiently conduct the business of NCAA compliance as directed by Adelphi University, the NCAA and the East Coast Conference (ECC). A basic purpose of the athletic compliance office is to maintain the institution's integrity in the area of athletic compliance and to assist the athletic department in maintaining intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body.
The links within this page provide general information about NCAA rules and will be helpful, but are not meant to be a full description of what is permissible (or impermissible). The NCAA rule book is over 350 (Division II) and 400 pages (Division I), and is written very intricately, so even the smallest detail can change the proper application of NCAA rules.
With your help and your commitment to NCAA rules, we can continue the proud tradition and outstanding success of the AU athletics department! Thank
you!
